How To Configure Dial Up Connection In Ubuntu

How To configure a Dial up Network in Linux ? For Windows a Drivers are ready to use but for Linux some manufactures have still not providing a Drivers for the Linux. Here i am Going to Show you a step by step procedure to configure a Dial up connection in Linux. I am taking Ubuntu 12.04 as a Linux and Reliance Netconnect+ as  a Dial Up Network. The configuration take very less time and its quite easy to do and i have no problem to say that Linux is very easy to use. Let’s begin it.
Login to Your Ubuntu System and Insert the Dongle. You may hear some kind of Sound after detection of  the Dongle in the System.
Now On Top Right Corner you may see the Small Icon of Network connection as shown below:

Click on that Icon and you will see a menu, Click on “Edit Connection” Option on the Bottom of that Drop down menu and it will take you the Network Management window as show below.

Click on “Mobile Broadband” Tab and then click on Add Button and this will take you to Wizard of Dial Up Connection Setup. Just follow the wizard and it will take hardly a minute.
Your Device will be detected automatically, click on Continue.
In Next Step choose the Location and click on Next and in next window choose the Provider of Your network. I choose the Reliance as it was my Dongle Provider.

Choose Provide and then click on Continue.
This is the Final Window of Wizard, Review your Settings and click on Apply. Yes you have not finished it yet, you need to one more step to finalize your setup and to connect to internet.
After the wizard, the window pop up and it ask you mobile number and password of your dial up connection. The Phone number and password is mostly same and you need to enter that and then the Internet is connected. Browse the Web and Enjoy.
