Upgrade the AT&T One X to prerooted Android 4.0.4 build 2.23.707.2

A new update has already been rolled out to the AT&T One X, bringing the phone’s OS version to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich via the software upgrade to version 2.23.707.2.
The said new update promises to boost your phone’s performance and stability compared to the previous Android 4.0.3 version. XDA Developers member scrosler has managed to release the update in the form of a flashable ZIP file which is completely safe to use.

For those users who can’t update their phone via OTA, flashing the ROM manually will be your best alternative. However, you need to have an unlocked bootloader for this to work properly.  The ROM is already pre-rooted, so you don’t need to root it again after upgrading.  This is stock firmware, too — with no mods, hacks, or tweaks.  You can also choose between an odexed or a deodexed package.
In this guide, learn how to upgrade the AT&T One X to prerooted Android 4.0.4 build 2.23.707.2.
