Comparison between Galaxy Ace Duos and Desire C

Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos is a dual sim(GSM+GSM) Android smartphone from Samsung. It is launched on June 2012. HTC Desire C is also a mid range sigle sim Android phone from HTC and this is available in the market from June 2012. Here are comparison between these two Android smartphones from HTC and Samsung.

HTC Desire C comes with Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS out of the box along with HTC Sense UI v.4.0. This gives this HTC Dual sim phone big advantage over Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos.  Android ICS along with Sense 4.0 UI gives a premium user experience and gives access to many additional apps as many new apps runs only on ICS . Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos comes loaded with Android Gingerbread OS along Touchwiz user interface. There is no update on Android ICS firmware upgrade for this model.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos has higher clock speed compared to HTC Desire C. However HTC Desire C has Scorpion processor Architecture ARM v7 along with enhanced Adreno GPU 200 which gives performance boost to the smartphone. Overall performance of both the smartphones are same.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos come with 3GB of internal memory and support for microSD card slot through which memory can be added upto 32GB. HTC Desire C comes with 4GB of internal memory and expandable memory upto 32GB through microSD. Desire C get better score here as it provides 1GB of extra internal memory.

  • HTC Desire C: Li-ion 1230 mAh

Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos has Li-ion 1300 mAh battery which is rated to provide upto 16 hours of talk time and upto 520 hours of standby time. Whereas HTC Desire C comes with Li-1230 mAh battery which is slightly lower than Ace Duos.
Camera:

  • Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos: 5MP rear camera with auto focus
  • HTC Desire C: 5MP rear camera with auto focus
Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos and HTC Desire C  features 5MP rear camera with auto focus. Both the phones do not have front facing camera as well as LED flash.

Summary: HTC Desire C has advantages of latest Android ICS OS , higher internal memory and premium design. Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos has powerful processor and longer battery life compared to HTC Desire C. Also it is slightly less price than the other. Not to be mentioned Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos provides dual sim functionality whereas Desire C is a single sim phone.
