Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000: Upgrading to Android 4.0 ICS via rEmIxRoM custom ROM based on CyanogenMod 9

The Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 never fails to amaze its users as more Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs are being ported for the said handset. Even though the Galaxy S never got the official Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade from Samsung, hardworking developers are still able to make it possible with the help of CyanogenMod 9 (CM9).
If you have always been flashing ICS ROMs in the past, we’re happy to tell you there’s a new ROM in town and it certainly looks promising. rEmIxRoM by XDA Developers member monish1995 is an Ice Cream Sandwich ROM based purely on CM9. What separates this ROM from the rest of the crowd is the TouchWiz user-interface it has and the feel of the Samsung stock experience.
Here are some of the features of rEmIxRoM:
  • Latest CM9 20120516 nightly build
  • Optimus 4X Lockscreen
  • TouchWiz Launcher, icons, Calculator, Clock, Memo apps.
