September 23, 2008, Android 1.0, the first commercial version of Android is released. Just over 3 years later, October 19, 2011, after evolving from Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, and Honeycomb, not including Astro and Bender, Ice Cream Sandwich was announced. Along the way, Android put out loads of features and took in some 200+ million users. Today, we’re going to be breaking down two of the newest, and arguably best, Android versions (Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich). Obviously, a winner has already been chosen for this Versus Match. Here’s a new Ice Cream Sandwich-based AOKP ROM (unofficial) for your phone to give you that amazing stock Android 4.0 experience along with great customized features. XDA Developers senior member InstigatorX decided to mix up some source code to come up with a personal AOKP build for the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. He took the AOKP source and compiled it with other stuff including important fixes for the phone from the CyanogenMod team. Eventually, he started releasing unofficial builds, updating them just as the official AOKP ROM.
